Quinta da Pedra is one of the most historical properties in the Alto Minho region, dating back to the 17th century. It is situated in the heart of Monção and Melgaço, a sub region of the Vinho Verde appellation, where Alvarinho excels. The property has 155 acres, completely dry farmed, benefiting from pure granite soils, with gentle slopes for drainage and perfect exposure.

Harvest Note
The harvest of 2022 was the driest winter in record since 1931. The weather in May was one of the hottest and driest in the last 92 years. This dry weather continued throughout the summer with July temperatures breaking further records as the hottest month to date. Despite the dryer vintage, the harvest returned excellent levels of quality by early September.
Tasting Note
Bright yellow with greenish tinge. Pronounced aroma of fresh citrus, mandarin and stone fruits. Medium body, with a vibrant acidity that cuts through the entire palate. Silky texture and very long, mineral aftertaste.
Food Pairing
Fresh seafood, oysters, prawns, crab, steamed mussels and clams. Also pairs beautifully with ceviche. It also pairs beautifully with vegetarian dishes such as grilled artichokes, zucchini fritters and a caprese salad.
