The vineyards that produce the grapes for Montes Alpha Pinot Noir are located in the Casablanca, Zapallar, and Leyda Valleys, all located in the Aconcagua Coast wine region. The vineyards’ proximity to the coast strongly influences the growth cycle. Very cool summers and relatively few hours of sunlight during veraison and the first stages of ripening result in the slow evolution of sugar concentration and color.

Harvest Note
As in previous years, there was limited water availability due to minimal rainfall during the fall and winter. Spring brought typical frosts to the Casablanca region, which reduced production in some areas. Similar effects were seen in Zapallar, particularly in the lower sections where frost had a more pronounced impact. Despite these challenges, the growing season was favorable, with healthy shoot and leaf development and well-formed small grape clusters. Summer remained cool, with ripening temperatures averaging between 70–73°F, allowing the grapes to ripen gradually, resulting in good balance, color, and overall quality.
Tasting Note
Intense berry aromas - blackberry, raspberry, and blueberry, with additional hints of ripe black plum and fig. Barrel aging contributes elegant toasted notes, along with touches of vanilla, crème brûlée, turrón, and dulce de leche. On the palate, the wine is balanced yet well-structured, with a smooth, persistent finish and flavors that mirror the aromatic profile.
Food Pairing
Pairs well with pesto pasta, mild creamy soups (mushroom, chicken), veal chops, salmon, mushroom risotto, Camembert cheese, herb salad, and bruschetta.
