Montes Cherub Rose is made from Syrah and Grenache grown 15 miles from the Pacific Ocean at Montes' El Arcángel de Marchigüe estate. The Marchigüe estate is flatter with low hills and moderate slopes. The soils are granitic, with a mixture of materials from both glacial and colluvial activity, as well as varying amounts of clay and organic matter. This cool climate and unique soil, along with the fact that the vines are trained specifically for rosé, results in an ideal balance of fruit character and acidity.

Harvest Note
The season began with a wet winter and a significant increase in rainfall, which helped alleviate the effects of 15 years of drought and improved vineyard vigor for this harvest. Spring brought more cloud cover and cooler temperatures, leading to a lower accumulation of degree-days and delaying flowering and veraison by two to three weeks. Temperatures remained cool until January, but the last week of the month and the first half of February saw a rise in temperatures that accelerated all phenological stages. The remainder of February and March experienced moderate temperatures, allowing maturation to progress slowly. Harvesting took place 10 to 15 days later than usual, with lower grape sugar levels and higher acidity. These conditions have resulted in fresher, more elegant wines with intense fruit expression, concentrated color, and vibrant aromas.
Tasting Note
The wine has an elegant, crystal-clear pale pink color. The nose is expressive, with intense red-berry aromas of raspberry and cherry, complemented by sweet notes of pomegranate and candy. On the palate, it is fresh, with vibrant acidity and a medium body, finishing long and silky, with flavors that mirror the aromatic profile.
