2013 vintage
Harvest Note
The winter before the harvest in 2013 was slightly cooler. The temperature throughout the growing season was low with May being very wet. The weather in the summer returned to normal weather patterns. September was even warmer and slightly drier, allowing the grapes to achieve the perfect level of maturity before harvest.
Tasting Note
Deep ruby core with aromas of rich black fruit with notes of mint and herbs, wrapped in light spicy notes from the oak. It is a full-bodied, voluminous wine with elegant and smooth tannins.
Food Pairing
A beautiful sirloin or filet steak with a bearnaise or chimichurri salsa. A grilled veal or pork chop with roasted potatoes and rosemary. Or, for the pasta lover out there, a hearty ragu made from either beef or even game. And finally, a seared venison loin with some wild mushrooms.
