Quinta da Pedra dates back to the 17th century. It is situated in the heart of Monção and Melgaço, a sub region of the Vinho Verde appellation, where Alvarinho excels. The property's dry farmed 155 acres benefit from pure granite soils on gentle slopes with perfect exposure. Fermentation begins in temperature controlled stainless steel, then finishes for at least 12 months in very old, used French oak barrels (10+ year old). Bâtonnage is carried out for 6 months.

Harvest Note
The harvest started with an extremely dry and hot spring. The summer was mild with cool nights. By the end of the summer the region was declared to be in drought conditions. But then the end of August and early September brought rain, bringing the grapes to full ripeness during harvest in the middle of September.
Tasting Note
Bright lemon color. Pronounced aroma of fresh stone fruit and stone fruit preserve, yellow flowers and mineral notes. Medium to full body, with a refreshing acidity. Silky texture.
Food Pairing
As well as pairing beautifully with fresh seafood, it is also the perfect accompaniment for grilled fish, white meats and superb with Asian gastronomy.
