This wines begins in the El Arcangel de Marchigüe estate vineyards. The decomposed granite soils left behind by glacial and colluvional activity mix with more recent deposits of clay and organic matter. Both the Syrah and the Grenache that go into this rosé are planted to a density of 13,727 plants per acre, trained to vertical shoot position, and produce average yields of up to 22,239 per acre. The plants are managed to maintain optimal foliage until harvest, which helps obtain fruit with an excellent ratio of sugar to acidity.
