A cedary twist to the typical notes of black olives, tobacco, paprika and black fruit. Medium- to full-bodied with prominent, fine-grained tannins and fruit. Long, demure and tight. Needs at least one more year to soften and open up
Very bright and focused with al-dente berry character on the nose, as well as orange-peel and violet aromas, following through to a medium body with ultra-fine tannins that are polished and so long. Racy at the end. Some crunchiness. So delicious now.
The 2020 Il Pino di Biserno is bottled sunshine. Rich, racy and voluptuous, the 2020 is such a classy Maremma wine. Succulent red cherry, blood orange, mint, spice and new leather are front and center. Silky and plush, with no hard contours, the 2020 is seriously impressive and delicious. Pretty floral top notes lift the finish. Don’t miss it
The Tenuta di Biserno 2021 Il Pino di Biserno is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc. The Cabernet-adjacent aromas come through nicely with dark fruit, blackberry and exotic spice. The wine is full-bodied in texture and structure, although it manages slightly more contained richness on the mid-palate. That gives Il Pino a more accessible disposition. It closes with a bright note of sweet cherry.
This red delivers a mix of dark fruit and herbal flavors, with black currant, blackberry, rosemary and licorice notes. The finish is a touch compact now, yet this is complex and long overall. Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot. Best from 2024 through 2036.
