Produced in Tavel, the heart of the Rhône Valley’s rosé production, this Côtes du Rhône rosé is crafted from 30+ year old vineyards planted in rich soils with calcareous sandstone and positioned on gently undulating slopes for optimal sun exposure. Hand-harvested grapes are carefully sorted once they arrive in the cellar, and then undergo direct pressing in a pneumatic press for three hours. The wine is fermented in temperature-controlled tanks at a low temperature to maintain its freshness, and ages for four months on fine lees in stainless steel vats.

2023 vintage
Harvest Note
The 2023 vintage began with a dry and mild winter followed by a wet spring that allowed the vines to withstand the summer season without high water stress. Despite temperatures increasing all summer long, the harvest started late. The grapes were of remarkable quality and quantity, particularly the Grenache grapes that gave rise to fruity and balanced wines with moderate alcoholic strength.
Tasting Note
Delicate pink in color, this rosé has aromas of white peach, rose petals, and tangerine. On the palate, the wine is crisp with a delicate floral touch and a zesty finish with a pomelo note.
Food Pairing
Charcuterie platters, goat cheese terrine, grilled chicken marinated with olive oil, lemon, and thyme.

About the Grape

Cinsaut
Ripe and meaty over elegant, with rose and almond notes, Cinsault’s relatively low tannins typically relegate it to blends with other varieties, as with Châteauneuf-du-Pape and Tavel Rosé.
Grenache
Grenache is loaded with dense, lusty aromas and flavors of black cherry, blackcurrant, jam, pepper and licorice, with a palate-coating texture and high alcohol.
Mourvèdre
Mourvèdre makes big, meaty, rustic wines high in alcohol, acidity and tannin, with moderate black fruit characters. Shows aromas and flavors of wild Provençal herbs, leather, mushrooms and barnyard.
Grenache Blanc
This grape can produce an attractive, fleshy, generously fruity wine with a fragrance of flowers and dill.
