This is a new appellation since 2017, placed above Regional and below Villages, intended to offer a higher quality level for entry Burgundy. Sourcing is allowed from all Cote d’Or villages, in this case the majority of the fruit originates in Santenay, Marsannay, Monthelie, and Chorey-les-Beaune. The wine is vinified in the Jadot winery in Beaune, with a 3 week maceration period followed by 18 months of aging, half of the cuvee in oak and half in stainless steel.

Tasting Note

Deeply colored red wine with typical Burgundian aromas of morello cherry and dark plum. Tannins are fine and elegant, and subtle earth and spice notes emerge on the long finish. This is a generous and versatile wine which can be enjoyed immediately or cellared for several years.
