Bordering Meursault Charmes and sharing similar soils and exposure, Referts sees full morning sunshine which contributes to vine health and ripe fruit.

Harvest Note
The 2021 vintage was memorable for the extreme challenges it posed to growers. The defining event was a hard freeze in April which lasted several days, and the subsequent dramatic reduction in harvest volumes. Added to this were cool and wet summer conditions which required constant vigilance. The delayed harvest eventually yielded tiny volumes of pristine grapes which express a vibrant and energetic purity.
Tasting Note
Combining a broad structure, ample weight and refined elegance, Referts is a classic white Burgundy. Aromas of acacia, toasted hazelnut, and lemon curd are carried by the fine acidity over a very long finish.
Food Pairing
Fine with a wide array of cuisines, from mild cheeses to grilled fish or sauteed chicken with mushrooms.
